Prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome BC hosts an annual CLICK for Babies campaign that brings the conversation around shaken baby syndrome beyond new and expectant parents and into the broader community.
The campaign is called CLICK for Babies because it asks people to:
- Click their knitting needles together to make purple newborn caps; and
- Click online, to get information about PURPLE and to share it with others. The CLICK campaign complements the Period of PURPLE Crying program which is delivered to BC families year round. Now in its seventh year, more than 13,000 caps (triple the program goal!) were donated and given to all BC maternity hospitals and health units for distribution, making 2016 the most successful campaign to date.
