The prevention of shaken baby syndrome cannot be achieved in isolation. Partnering is an effective and necessary component to any successful program. We have the pleasure of partnering with the following respected organizations.
Evaluates the BC implementation of the Period of PURPLE Crying program.
Partnered in the randomized-controlled trial of the Period of PURPLE Crying program.
Partners with the program evaluation team to review referred SBS hospitalization cases of children under the age of two in BC.
Partners with the program evaluation team to review SBS deaths of children under the age of two in BC.
Partners in the collaboration of researchers in the studies conducted on the Period of PURPLE Crying.

BC Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) provides the primary funding for provincial implementation and evaluation of the program. The supervising department is the Early Years Policy, Early Childhood Development.
BC Ministry of Health is the primary in-kind contributor to the implementation of the program through maternity and public health nurse time in delivering the program to parents.
BC Children’s Hospital contributes to the general operations of the program by providing on-site office space.
The BCIRPU offices are located on the traditional and unceded land of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.
